At first it was pretty. Then it got pretty exciting. Karina didn’t know where/how to do her business in snow deep enough to swallow her. Cabin fever set in. And then today, a beautiful walk on snowshoes through our local woods.
Those doggies look like they’re having a great time! 🙂
I love your photos Judith, you make me want snow shoes.
I have been loving seeing all of these snow photos on various blogs and yours are simply stunning!!! Well and of course I loved the happy puppers. 🙂
Stay warm friend, gros bisous,

The best snow photographs I’ve seen…and I love snow photographs (especially with Karine in them). Snow falling in the trees, the sunshine, then dogs and snowshoeing humans breaking trail…perfect! (Am I sounding like someone who has never experienced the downside of snow? That’s mostly the case, but I did spend 3 winters in Moscow and was in Boston for the snowstorm of 1978.) Bravo to the excellent writer-photographer team…I look forward to more!!! Fondly, Leslie
Hi Leslie,
I was in Boston for that blizzard too! I lived right downtown in Back Bay (in a rent controlled apt). I don’t think I could ‘do’ Moscow in winter, though. I have a very complicated relationship with snow. I think I could live with out it — though I never have — but make a big effort to make my peace with it after every storm.
Gorgeous!
Gorgeous photos Judith! What an incredible storm. My dog loved it the most. All I wanted to do was snow shoe-unfortunately it hasn’t happened yet!
