“Full of Winter.” My friend Heather used that sentence in her post today about her lunch in a village that was quiet, empty, yet “Full of Winter.”
We are full of winter here, too. Full up, filled up, fed up.
Our walks have been white and cold — frigid, in fact. Too frosty to expose already numb fingers to the icy air and snap a photo.
And yet, on a snowy day like today, when the dog has been walked and I have nowhere to go, I have the luxury to sit quietly on my indoor perch and watch the flakes slip from the sky.
I am warm, safe, grateful: “Full of Winter,” Full of Peace.

I am beyond delighted that one little phrase (not even a sentence!) was able to inspire your sharing such beauty. I know that I will come back to these videos when in need of inspiration and calm. So it works like a boomerang and how wonderful is that?
Thank you, friend.

I have not been brave enough (or well enough) to spend much time out of doors, but I am – despite a full work load – enjoying the feeling of being tucked cozily inside with my classical music, kitties, and a full mug of hot tea.
Still, I am beginning to look forward to spring. As pretty as winter can be, the calls of the robins remind me that there is a warmer, brighter season just around the corner.

Thank you so much for this post, Judith. We had one tantalizing taste of winter here (3 days of light, fluffy snow with no ice), and I long for more (which I know puts me at odds with almost everyone in the Northeast, Upper Midwest and Southeast). I will replay your videos many, many times, and that will help. In just six seconds, the first conveys the visual and auditory (!) beauty of a snowfall (without high wind)…both of which I crave. The second gives us a beautiful bird in snowfall…is that a cardinal? All my life, I have wanted to see a cardinal! And finally, Karina at rest, full, warm and content…what could be better?
